The Historical Dictionary of the Vikings traces Viking activity in Europe, North America, and Asia for over three centuries. It also summarizes the impact the Vikings had on the areas where they traveled and settled. Katherine Holman is currently pursuing her own research as a freelance historian. Recently, she was lecturer in Scandinavian Studies and Assistant Director of European Studies in the department of modern languages at the University of Hull in England.
