Nicole's Book Musings
The last Jordan sister ready to fall or is she? I really liked Sophie. I liked how she researches everything to have a sense of control. It's her little quirk. She needs rules, routine, and control in her life, but enter quarterback Riley Nash who turns her world off it's axis. Riley is pretty much opposite of Sophie, but he brings out another side of her. Riley is dealing with some family issues and old deep seeded hurts emerge. When he is with Sophie it brings a new fun light into his life. I liked Sophie and Riley together because the complement each other. They're going to have their hurdles to jump over, but watching their journey I was rooting for them the whole way.

Hot Item by Carly Phillips was amazingly HOT! We have book three of the Hot Zone and we get to read Sophie's story. If you thought her sisters were control freaks, you have another thing coming. Sophie is the Queen of Control. She always thought her life was complete as long as she has her family....but maybe they're just not enough for her little bubble anymore. Riley is our yummy football quarterback and is a client of Hot Zone PR . A HUGE secret has come out that can potentially ruin his family. He is a player by day and...well a player at night. But he has loyalty to the ones that he loves. To try to stop the drama from unfolding, he has to team up with Sophie. And you get the ride of your life with these two! Oh! I also fell for our bratty teenager Lizzy!! She loves her family and always gets her way, until she had to learn the hard way that actions speak louder than words. Spencer and Yank are at it again!! We know they are long time best friends and rivals... which actually works for these two <3 Hot Item was sexy, funny, dramatic, and leaves your heart in your throat at times..but you have to love the Jordan sisters! They are spunky, sexy, and always in charge. This was another great book written by an amazing author! No onto book 4, Hot Property. Make sure to get your copy today!!! You need to read this series.

This book is the 3rd book in this series and it is Sophie Jordan's story. Since losing her parents at a young age, Sophie has always dealt with things by trying to control the situation and she especially loves knowing all the facts. Being the middle child, Sophie tends to keep things to herself and thankfully Spencer has always looked out for her. I just adored Sophie, probably because I have a daughter that tends to act just like her. Sophie doesn't like to take any chances because she cannot handle the pains that would come from losing. She has to over analyze EVERYTHING before she can make any decisions. Sophie likes everything in her life to be simple and orderly....she doesn't like anything spontaneous. Sophie has always been attracted to Riley Nash but his carefree lifestyle has kept her from acting on that attraction. When the news that Spencer Atkins is gay is revealed, Sophie is the only owner in town at the offices of The Hot Zone and Athletes Only and has to handle the crisis. Spencer is avoiding her phone calls and she is lost on what to do. Imagine her surprise when Riley comes into the office looking for Spencer. When Riley reveals why, the two of them set out on a course to find him. I really enjoyed how Riley was able to loosen Sophie up a little. Together he showed her that she can have some fun times in her life while being spontaneous. I really liked how he just understood Sophie and her crazy tendencies. I also liked the story with Riley's daughter, Lizzie. It added to the story pretty well. I also LOVED Spencer's crazy sisters. I wish they'd get their own story! It was interesting seeing why Spencer kept all of his secrets and how Riley's family dealt with everything. Overall I really enjoyed this book and it was fun to re-read it!
