Luke is a complex guy which I didn’t expect from my first introduction to him. When Willow shows up with this crazy plan, he is shocked. As a teenager, he gave up his dream when his father died to take care of his sister and mother. This is a true guiding force for Luke, he’s passionate about caring for those he loves in his life. But dealing with the loss and challenges he faced at a young age caused him to cage himself in and to avoid any true emotions. The reality of becoming a father shakes his world. This is a beautiful journey for Willow and Luke. She has to find a way to trust people again after her parent’s completely let her down. While Luke has to face his grief and the ghost of his dad. The unique family that surrounds them provides a strong support system full of sass and humor. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Amazing!! I have fallen in love with this author and the rock romances she writes. She always seems to make me feel what the characters are feeling which always make them a read I don’t soon forget. This book was no different. I loved the characters of Willow and Luke and everything they have gone through and now are trying to make things work…whether for real or for show. Surprises sometimes comes within nine months’ time and this is one of those stories. Its just how they are going to put a spin to this so everyone’s career stays intact along with their hearts. I am definitely looking forward for more books to come from this author.

About the author

Scarlett Cole is a contemporary romance and romantic suspense author who calls both Toronto, Canada and Manchester, England home. A born city dweller, she periodically quashes the urge to live in the country by hiking up a mountain to remind herself that living away from people would terrify the pants off her.

She believes everybody deserves their love story to be told and loves her heroes on the rough and rugged side…and usually tall (because she married one of those 6ft 6” men you read about in romance!). She’s an A-type personality and Scorpio star sign, so good luck getting her to do anything she doesn’t want to.

When she isn’t writing, she’s happy to talk hot men and expensive shoes while drinking a cold gin and tonic. Don’t bring up olives. As far as Scarlett is concerned, they are the devil’s food. As long as you don’t bring up olives, she’s happy to hear from any time.
