Absolutely fascinating historical reference of construction project controlling in 1913. The hand-drawn Gantt charts, resource planning sheets, projection graphs as well as cost-control reporting examples blew my mind on many different levels. I am a construction scheduler for a FANTASTIC General Contractor and found this book totally amazing proof that our current practices have been in use since the use of steel in building fabrication became commonplace in the industry. I think I will forward the link to this book to all of our project managers and estimators if only to tell them, hey, if they could do all of this BY HAND 100 years ago, you monkeys ought to be able to teach yourselves enough to build a simple milestone schedule in MS Project.
