Louise Spilsbury worked in educational publishing before becoming a freelance author. She has written or co-written over 200 nonfiction books for young people. These include books in the Tales of Invention series, Ice Age, and the Young Explorer series. She co-writes many of her books with her husband Richard Spilsbury.
