About the author

Howard Phillips Lovecraft nació en 1890 en Providence, Rhode Island, y falleció en la misma localidad en 1937. Lovecraft desarrolló una mitología propia dentro del género del terror, siguiendo una corriente de terror cósmico materialista muy alejada de las vertientes tradicionales del género.

William Hope Hodgson fue un autor de ficción inglés, cuyas obras influyeron a H. P. Lovecraft. Produjo una gran cantidad de ensayos, cuentos y novelas que abarcaron diversos géneros: horror, literatura fantástica y ciencia ficción.
