As a fibromyalgia survivor and support group facilitator she is dedicated to giving support, validation, and hope to people suffering with fibromyalgia. In 2008, she and three generations of her family participated in the groundbreaking City of Hope DNA Research Study whose ultimate goal is to isolate the genes in FMS and create a diagnostic test.
