Small, deformed, and damaged, 13-year-old Michael Platt was rejected from foster homes as far back as he could remember. Sent to live with his ex-con dad and sadistic half-brother Cole in the desolate town of Goldstrike in the Nevada desert, his life becomes unbearable.
