Kira Nierobisch untersucht anhand biografieanalytischer Untersuchungen im Kontext der verbandlichen Jugendarbeit zeitgenössische Identitätskonzepte in ihren personalen, sozialen und vor allem kollektiven Dimensionen und überträgt sie auf Prozesse jugendlicher Vergemeinschaftung. Die Autorin verbindet damit sowohl die Diskussion nach der Rolle von Gemeinschaft als Sozialisationsinstanz für gesellschaftliche Partizipation und Kollektivität als auch die Frage, wie sich aktuell Identität im Spannungsfeld von Individualität und Kollektivität entwickelt. Dabei steht sowohl eine kritische Analyse von Vergemeinschaftungsprozessen, die immer auch Aspekte von Inklusion und Exklusion beinhalten, im Vordergrund.

Dr. phil. Kira Nierobisch ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der AG Erwachsenenbildung/berufliche Bildung an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Ludwigsburg. Ihre aktuellen Lehr- und Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Kontext Außerschulische Jugendbildung, Bildungsberatung, qualitative Biografie- und Sozialforschung sowie Didaktik und Methodik.
