About this eBook

The critically acclaimed, bestselling novel from Gayle Forman, author of Where She Went, Just One Day, and Just One Year.

In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heartwrenchingly beautiful, this will change the way you look at life, love, and family. Now a major motion picture starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Mia's story will stay with you for a long, long time.

People are going to kill me for saying this, I swear. I'm almost afraid to post this on here, for the hate I'll get. Let me start by saying that I was very surprised that I didn't like this book as much as everyone else did. Maybe it was because I had such high expectations for it (with all the praise and whatnot) and the whole idea sounded so interesting. Unfortunately, though, this book fell flat. However, I do think that if this book had been written by a different author, it would have been better. Many of the parts that supposedly "made people cry", I just read right through. I was sitting through the whole book, expecting to cry my eyes out at any given moment, but it didn't happen. And didn't happen. I read the book cover to cover, and reread the ending a couple times, waiting for the tears to come streaming down, yet they never came. This book was just mediocre. It doesn't deserve all the praise it's getting. I am very sorry to say that it is not one of my favorite books, especially since I was expecting it to become one. However, that's not to say that I won't read 'Where She Went', just to see if the sequel is better than this one. Sorry, 'If I Stay' fans... Maybe I'm just dysfunctional?

The theme of the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman is a decision making and how the people around you can be affected by the choice. The authors analyze both choices. For example, talking about what Mia, the main characters life would be without her family and what it would be for her friend, boyfriend, and other family members if she decided not to stay. What I didn’t like about the book was that the author didn’t write what Mia decided to do, or not clearly. What I would recommend is a better ending with more clarity or detail.

Not a religious novel which is great... Lovely and Sweet short story. Not much dialogue just the main characters thoughts and memories. The ending is a continuation to the 2nd book so don't get confused like I did when it ended so it kinda felt like it was missing half of the book... when I wanted more thats why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 because its really is short! Somewhat satisfied! Must read(-:
