The main character is developing well but follows Modesitt's usual format. Also, the social commentary continues unabated but does reflect the author's ideology.
I like Modesitt's books because they contain enough action to go along with his style of character development. I look forward to the conclusion of this trilogy.

Modesitt has done it again! Pulled me into his imagination and a world of his choosing. Great book Great series! It is a must read!
