About this eBook

Steven Gould returns to the world of his classic novel Jumper in the thrilling sequel Impulse.

Cent has a secret. She lives in isolation, with her parents, hiding from the people who took her father captive and tortured him to gain control over his ability to teleport, and from the government agencies who want to use his talent. Cent has seen the world, but only from the safety of her parents' arms. She's teleported more than anyone on Earth, except for her mother and father, but she's never been able to do it herself. Her life has never been in danger.

Until the day when she went snowboarding without permission and triggered an avalanche. When the snow and ice thundered down on her, she suddenly found herself in her own bedroom. That was the first time.

To say I enjoyed this book would be an understatement. While there were a few parallels to _Jumper_, this is not a rehashing told from a female perspective. Cent has a voice distinctly her own, and while she was very confident through out, there were healthy moments of teenaged fear and the trials of high school (making friends, meeting the opposite sex, dealing with bullies). My only quibble would be that at times she seemed _too_ easy going and confident, though it didn't detract from my enjoyment.

First the story on the parents, then the daughter. I couldn't put the book down. I suspect everyone who has ever been bullied could relate to Cent. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Thanks Steven

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have read the previous two books several times and this is my favorite series of books. This was not the best of the series, but still very good! Definitely worth the price!
