Wow. The plot and storyline was amazing. The characters... male MC was totally on point. Female MC, however was all over the place. She was innocent and overly sensual. She was a soldier and a disstressed damsel. And, it was hard to read. Words like over-exaggerated, and made up words don't belong in a well edited book. I was impressed that is a true standalone book in a series, and grateful. Until I find the author uses a professional editor, I can't bring myself to pay for the next book in the series.

Some aspects just don't gel... she's a POW that has more freedom than the people that live in the camp....and he's a war ravaged, cold and calculating officer that is a complete teddy bear. That every one is terrified of.... but she can lip off to. And no one questions it? The motive for why every one wants to kill them is not very convincing- BUT I still love this book. HEA with action, a bit of intrigue, a lot of action, well researched weaponry, action, a love story and did I mention action? Definitely recommend this, would be great for a YA reader

This book was fantastic!! I tried to find the second book in the series, Permafrost, to no avail. So disappointed that I can't find it because I want to know the ending to this wonderful story beyond this first book. I couldn't put this one down and read it in half a day!
