Wonderful Book! Great Story. It always saddens me to hear of the sufferings of so many undeserving people in the United States. It is hypocritical to read the Declaration of Independence and how the citizens of the New World were declaring Independence from the King of England, yet a runaway slave felt more comfort in that country than this one. So Amazing! Also, humans as property? Wasn't the Bible written before the Declaration of Independence? I thought God declared all mankind human and designed in His own likeness! WoW!!!!!

I could not put this book down once I started reading. It is 2008 and I know that prejudice against blacks, hispanics, indians and more are alive and well. This story is inspiring.
