Indiana Quakers Confront the Civil War chronicles for the first time the military activities of Indiana Quakers during America's bloodiest war and explores the motivation behind the abandonment, at least temporarily, of their long-standing testimony against war.
O autorovi
Jacquelyn S. Nelson earned a Ph.D. in history in 1984 and has taught American history at Ball State University and Vincennes University. She has published articles about Quakers during the Civil War in such journals as the Indiana Magazine of History.
