But he cant penetrate every wound or secret - especially one fueled by a love & guilt teetering on madness. _________________ That is the description on the book - & I dont think it tells NEARLY anything about what this book is about. There are more characters besides Jonah & Tia ... including the vet who helps Jonah, Liz... & Tia's friend, Piper who works at the local bakery owned by Sarge... & Jay, Jonah's sponsor that helps him with his sobriety - not to mention a Coyote that becomes a part of the story... This is a mystery - & I'm saying "ITS THEM" with every new character - which keeps me reading on pins & needles with each page. I love when I'm right ... & I love when I'm wrong & I'm surprised! I'm not going to give anything away with this though - that's the point of a MYSTERY!!! I will say, I do love that the book is much deeper then the description though. You really learn so much about ALL the characters in the stories... & the writing in this book is wonderful. It explains everything in words that are just so descriptive, but not over someone's head (hate that!)... After I finished this book - I felt like I had to breath for a minute... after I found out that the suspect is...... Nah - I'm not telling...

Not as good as Secrets trilogy. More young adults than adult

Lovely but unrealistic characters. Well written.

While home schooling her four kids, Kristen Heitzmann wrote her first novel. It became one of a five book historical series.
