The present book is compilation of my lecture notes on Human Physiology. This book is an outcome of an idea I got from my students, when I saw them taking print out of my lecture presentations and get them spirally bounded as book to study during whole semesters, especially examination days. The present compilation of important facts & concepts of human physiological system well supported with self-drawn suitable figures are very helpful in revising entire syllabus particularly during examination days when students are running short of time and plenty is there to study. The present book covers almost all human physiological systems starting from Body Fluids to Muscle Physiology, Cardiovascular System, Endocrine System, Nervous System, Respiratory System, Excretory System, Digestive System and Reproductive System. Every chapter is very well supported with proper illustrations, tables and ray diagrams. Altogether about 50 illustrations are included in the book to make the mechanisms/concept easiest to understand by the students. This book shall be helpful to the students of Medical (MBBS/MD/MS), Paramedical, Basic Sciences viz. Zoology & Applied Sciences viz. About the author

Dr. Lavkush Dwivedi joined Department of Biomedical Sciences, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi as Assistant Professor of Immunology and Human Physiology in year 2011 and is presently serving the department as Coordinator/Head and Convener, Board of Studies (BoS). Moreover, Dr. Dwivedi is Co-coordinator of University Innovation Centre (UIC); a high end research instrumentation facility of Bundelkhand University and has been worked as Assistant Proctor of the University in session 2015-16. He started his professional career as Lecturer at the said department from year 2006 Dr. Dwivedi has been awarded Ph.D. degree by Bundelkhand University in year 2010 for his work on Human Health Risk Assessment & Management of Indian population. During PhD he developed a predictive in-silico tool for online self health risk assessment & their management in collaboration with CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow. Presently he is engaged in identification, isolation, evaluation & characterization of immunomodulatory and other therapeutic compounds of medicinal plants found in Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh and so, his research interest lies in the area of Immunomodulatory therapeutics & Human health care.
