THOMAS LAMBERT MEARS [1839-1918] was a barrister of the Inner Temple and legal writer who taught at the University of London. Some of his notable works are Analysis of M. Ortolan's Institutes of Justinian (1876), and A Treatise on the Admiralty Jurisdiction and Practice of the High Court of Justice (1903).
