About this eBook

The spellbinding classic that started it all, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author—the inspiration for the hit television series

“A magnificent, compulsively readable thriller . . . Rice begins where Bram Stoker and the Hollywood versions leave off and penetrates directly to the true fascination of the myth—the education of the vampire.”—Chicago Tribune

Here are the confessions of a vampire. Hypnotic, shocking, and chillingly sensual, this is a novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force—a story of danger and flight, of love and loss, of suspense and resolution, and of the extraordinary power of the senses. It is a novel only Anne Rice could write.

I read every book Anne Rice has written with the exception of Feast of all Saints. I couldn't get past the second chapter. Lol , but the Vampire chronicles is amazing. So is The Wolf Gift series and The Mayfair Witches. If you have a imagination. Get lost in these worlds... I promise you won't be disappointed. I read the first two books about the vampires out of order. I recommend doing this. Read Leatate the Ultimate Vampire first , then Interview with the Vampire

My experience is not recent but from the past of reading Anne Rices vampire novels. They are so good that I want to get the whole series again. Lost my original collection because a man burned up my fifth wheel that I had them in. They can be replaced though and I will again. In a place now where people won't be able to do that kind of nonsense.

A critic arranges an interview with a man he believes to be a vampire. Bored by his life in San Francisco, LeStat takes an unexpected pleasure in giving the young journalist a slice of the life he leads. Fascinated by LeStat's story and his bizarre lifestyle, he begs LeStat.....you'll have to read the book. You will become totally emerged in the life of a vampire. Don't watch the movie first or you may be disappointed with the 2 stars chosen to play the parts of LeStat and his journalist friend--or not.
