Joachim Zekoll holds the chair of Private Law, Civil Procedure, and Comparative Law at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, since 2001. From 1992 until 2001, he was on the faculty of the Tulane University School of Law (New Orleans, USA), serving as the John Minor Wisdom Professor of Law from 1999 until 2001. From 2003 to 2007, concurrently with his appointment in Frankfurt, he was the A.D. Freeman Professor of Law at Tulane University.
Gerhard Wagner holds the chair of Private Law, Commercial Law, and Law and Economics at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Germany, since 2013. From 1999 to 2013, he was the director of the Institute of Civil Procedure and Conflict Management at the University of Bonn, Germany. During the academic year 2010-2011, he was Visiting Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School, Illinois, USA. From 2009 through 2014, he also served as Professor of Fundamentals of Private Law at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
