Islam the Future World Religion is an abbreviated essay taken from a lecture delivered by Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Deen Mahmood Ahmad(ra), the second khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, on 11 April 1920 in Sialkot. Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Deen Mahmood Ahmad (1889-1965) was second successor to the Promised Messiah(as), and Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. He was a son of the Promised Messiah(as), the tiding of whose birth, extraordinary qualities and achievements was given to the Promised Messiah(as) in the form of a grand Divine prophecy that was published prior to his birth.

Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Deen Mahmood Ahmad was a renowned scholar, both in terms of secular and religious knowledge. His ten-volume commentary of the Holy 5uran is a treasure trove for seekers of divine knowledge. Likewise, he was an orator with unmatched eloquence who kept his audience spellbound for hours on end.
