Ratings and reviews

Much too political for my tastes.Lost me by page 20. Uses a lot of real people and their agendas- I read to escape from the political fallout that is constantly yammered at us- if she didn't use our real issues and people it would have felt like part of a story, but as it was it gave the same feeling as watching tv and social media

Far too many plot lines, none of the characters were likable, even for a fictional book there were far too many inaccuracies, and irresponsible pet ownership should never be applauded or seen as "cute".

Boring, inane and a very definitely politically biased piece of writing, which favours the far left, showing drug addicts as being rational, dependable people, and conservatives as evil stereotypes.

About the author

 Sophia Watson is a writer and photographer who lives in n. Maine near the Quebec border (about two city blocks away). She has also lived in Alaska, southern California, the Blue Ridge Mountains, two communes, and Ozark county.

She loves to write about the places she has been. This series has gay and black characters and a Chicano dairy family, which is something new to the cozy genre. This series is cozy simply because it focuses on the mystery and social issues involved and not on graphic violence or sex.
