First Light Novel I bought based on the summary alone. Before this, I only read ones that anime I love were based on. This was great! I just bought the next couple volumes and can't wait to see where it goes from here. It has opened a whole new world for me and I'm super excited.

Enjoyable and worth a reading. Well written. I only had a little trouble understanding character motivation but it wasn't enough to damage my enjoyment.

Pacing issues, or possibly feels written more like a script. Felt like too much exposition.
