Charismatic. Confident. Powerful. Controlling.

A brilliant investor with a Midas touch, Devlin Saint turned a modest inherited fortune into billions, and now operates one of the world’s foremost international philanthropic organizations. He’s a man determined to help the underprivileged, to fight injustice, and to make the world a better place. And that, at least is true.

It’s not, however, the full truth.

Because Devlin Saint is a man with a dangerous secret. One he’ll do whatever it takes to protect. And when investigative reporter Ellie Holmes turns her attention to an unsolved murder, she finds herself caught in a web of intrigue and passion as Devlin draws her closer and closer. But as the intensity and sensuality of their relationship grows, so do Ellie’s suspicions. Until she is no longer certain if the heat between her and Devlin is real, or only a facade he constructed to hide his dark and twisted secrets.

Don’t miss this provocative first book in Devlin Saint's trilogy...

4,5 Stars for My Fallen Saint ( Fallen Saint #1) Book one in a new series from J Kenner and I have to say if this book is anything to go by she will have another hit series on her hands. As you would expect from this very talented author, the characters are easy to relate to and the writing is strong, I was captivated from the first page to the last line in this romance mixed with intrigue, drama, passion and suspense ...... Devlin Saint is a man you will fall for, he cares for the people he holds close to him and he always wants to help the underdog add in the hotness and you get a swoon worthy hero but there is more to him than meets the eye and once you start to peel back the layers you will fall hard and fast.... Ellie Holmes is an investigative reporter looking into her uncles murder and all clues lead to Devlin, could this man be involved or even responsible for her uncles death and why does the man standing in front of her look so familiar..... This story ticked all my boxes, I swooned, I sighed, and at times I held my breath as Devlin and Ellie push trust and love to the limits, the chemistry is sizzling, the characters loveable and I can’t wait to see where we go with book 2 in this series.

I was pulled in to Ellie’s journey back to her hometown. She is resilient and tough in how she approaches her life having lost so many important people along the way. The last place she wants to be is her hometown but a revelation about her uncle forces the investigative reporter back to find answers. What she never expects to find is the boy who walked away 10 years ago, her first and only love. Devlin carries a lot of secrets but why he left Ellie could destroy her. I truly don’t want to give away too much of this incredible story. From page 1, I was intrigued and needed to know more about Ellie and Devlin. There is more to their journey which has me swirling with questions and trepidation for what may be in store for them in book 2.

First thing you need to know is that there is a small cliffhanger, nothing that’s going to have you freaking out. This author is the queen of the tortured hero and Saint is everything you would expect. The plot twists, while slightly predictable, are still good. There are a lot of questions that I’m confident will be answered in the next book, but there was a secret that didn’t seem so secret with the way the characters had certain conversations that anyone could have overheard. It’s a little bit of a slow burn, but since this isn’t a standalone, I’m okay with that. The last steamy scene was a little underwhelming, I expected a little more teasing and something a bit wilder based on the set up. The writing is good, the heroine a little irritating at times, but the story flows without those frustrating idling hang ups of when a character harps on a subject or a thought.
