As a deadly game of cat-and-mouse begins, the detective must conquer his own demons to outwit a deranged mastermind. ________________Interview with the author, Jack ProbynQ - Can Jake Tanner be compared to any other crime thriller heroes out there?A - You know, I wouldn't say Jake Tanner is like any of the other crime thriller heroes currently out there. He’s not like the Jack Reachers’ or the Alex Cross’ of these worlds. Sure, he has some similar characteristics, but Jake Tanner is very unique. Jake is a very heavily family-centered man. Anything and everything he does is done for them. But this does, in no way, mean that he is like Alex Cross who, readers familiar with James Patterson’s star, will know is a lean, mean, fighting machine. Instead, Jake Tanner is simply an everyday man. The one you see on the train to and from work everyday. That's what makes Detective Jake Tanner different.
Q - What makes the Detective Jake Tanner series special?

A - A mix of things. I wanted something that would “Wow!” readers, something that is going to make them think, “What if that ever happened to me?” And so I mirrored the Jake Tanner series on something I would like to read myself. The Jake Tanner terror thriller series has a bit of everything. But all of them feature the big question: “What if…” And, once you've read them, you’ll never feel the same way about certain things again.

Jake Tanner is an awesome character! This is the second book I have read of Jake Tanner and they just keep getting better. This is a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat (biting your nails or worse). Fast-paced, action-packed (of course) and filled with a suspenseful story that will compel you to read on! I love that the author is a young man who still has many years left to write more awesome stories! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I would highly recommend this one. The idea of chemical warfare and terrorism is terrifying but certainly a possibility in today's environment Great plot well thought out and the characters tend to not be superheroes but human by nature. If you are into thrilling fact paced, this is one for you

When someone who is brilliant turns towards darkness and vengeance, the results are lethal. Lost friends, family and co-workers haunt the investigations and investigators into current threats. More looms on the horizon. Is an investigator paranoid, or does he really just more readily perceive some threats others cannot or will not see? Sadly, it is not humanly possible to react in time to every perceived threat, and loss weighs heavy on Jake. Crushing drama, action and terror with more ahead. About the author

Jack Probyn hasn’t experienced the world. He’s never even owned a pet. But he’d like to; there’s still time. His twenty-two years on the planet have been spent in the United Kingdom, with a few excursions overseas — a particular favourite of his was Amsterdam. Or Norway. Both of which were lovely.

But what Jack lacks in life-experience, he more than makes up for in creative ingenuity. His Jake Tanner series is the birth child of a sinister and twisted mind, and a propensity to assume the worst will happen in even the most mediocre situation.

Finding himself pigeon-holed as a millennial, Jack decided to stick with the stereotype and do things his own way. After all, he felt entitled and he wanted to destroy industries.

Enter: writing.

The love of writing was rekindled in Jack’s life when he (briefly) entered the corporate world, and the passion snowballed from there. No more will the millennial writer find himself working 9-5, indulging in the complexities of business life, or wearing a M&S suit.

He will take the world by storm with his pen(keyboard) and his ability to entertain and enthral readers.

Why not join him (and his future dog)?
