cozy-mystery, amateur-sleuth, law-enforcement, drugs-issues, pets, family-dynamics, friendship***** Andi Grace is rather more than a dog walker but also does dog rescue placement and obedience training. She and her boyfriend are surprised to find the murdered body of the local cat rescue lady while out for a walk along the beach. The sleuthing does not go smoothly but has more snags and problems than most even as problems arise with the siblings she raised after their parents died in an auto wreck. The characters are wonderful, the world building is great, and the dogs are really special. I really loved it and had to finish it in one day!
