Escritora y periodista chilena nacida el año 1944 en Valparaíso con el nombre de Jacqueline Marty Aboitiz de Balcells. Comenzó su carrera en las letras infantiles el año 1982 mientras vivía en Francia y a su regreso a Chile, el año 1986, escribió muchos libros en dupla con su amiga Ana María Güiraldes.
