This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps the adrenaline pumping with lots of suspense, drama, action and romance. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and events which inspire vivid images that capture the reader’s imagination. The tension builds throughout the story as more of the Nightwalker world in revealed to Kat and the danger that is hunting Ahnvil and the magical amulet. The strong, bewitching characters are easilThe reader can’t help but get caught up in the character’s story and become empathize with both of their plights. Ahnvil’s past has certainly had an impact on who he is now and Kat never fit in with anyone and always felt like she didn’t belong because of her medical condition The story is one adventure after another for Kat with Ahnvil trying to protect her and keep from falling for her and the sparks fly when he thinks he can control her of course. I was totally engrossed in the story from the very beginning and Jacquelyn Frank’s complex Nightwalker world just keeps getting better and better with lots of surprising twists and fascinating characters.

I loved it but for some reason I felt I was left hanging, I know that there's always a continuation but I was looking for more adventures... here's hoping in the next book we will hear more from these 2

A little dry at first, but it was to get all the pieces in place. Wished it hadn't ended!
