About this ebook

Meet the Brannigan brothers—seven sexy brothers who bring the heart and the heat!  From bestselling authors Barbara Freethy, Ruth Cardello, Melody Anne, Christie Ridgway, Lynn Raye Harris, Roxanne St. Claire and JoAnn Ross comes a brand new contemporary romance family series: 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. You won't want to miss a single one!

JAMES
Running a billion-dollar hedge fund doesn't leave a lot of time for fun in the sun, but that doesn't bother James Brannigan. After spending his youth helping his widowed father raise six younger brothers, James took a cue from his workaholic dad and channeled all his energy into business. So when he learns that his father left him a tiny winery on the Amalfi Coast, he's not thrilled. A trip to Italy is the last thing his busy schedule needs, but the winery has to go. Which means...he has to go to the winery.

Kyra Summers is the definition of a free-spirit. In her thirty years on earth, she’s never stayed in one place long enough to put down roots until she arrived in Positano and fell hard for the bold flavors, hot sun, warm people, and above all, the wonderful wine. Her job at a small, local winery is her first attempt to make a real home and the people who run the place start to become like family to her. Until the winery's new owner, a devastatingly handsome, shockingly ruthless billionaire, arrives with plans to shut it all down. Kyra's willing to do whatever it takes to save this place she loves—even if it means cozying up to a man who's harder than granite and twice as cold.

But the Italian sunshine has a way of heating things up—with every fiery exchange, they strike sparks and draw irresistibly closer together. James is stunned by his attraction to a woman unlike any he's met before, and Kyra discovers a simmering passion hidden behind his polished exterior. But passion won't be enough to change James's mind and his priorities, which is exactly why his late father sent him to Italy. Changing James is going to take a much bigger risk—it's going to take love.

I really loved the premise of 7 different authors writing about 7 brothers from one family. While I've only read a few of the stories in the series so far, I've enjoyed each one. I love the idea of Colin Brannigan leaving each son a part of his legacy. I was super excited to see Roxanne St. Claire was taking oldest brother James and have to say I loved his story. James Brannigan has pretty much become a workaholic just like his father. Making more and more money for his hedge fund seems to be all he cares about. Yes he keeps up with his brothers, but they really don't have a true relationship. I'll admit I wasn't sure Ms. St. Claire could redeem James enough for me to like him when I first met him. I will say I absolutely loved all not only did he change for the better, he ended up being an amazing man. Kyra Summers is such a strong character. I loved her from the moment she appeared on the page! Kyra has traveled the world since she left home and usually never stays in one place for long. She has pretty much been adopted by the family that is running the vineyard James inherited and finally feels like she has a home in Positano. There is pretty much instant attraction between James and Kyra as soon as they meet. While neither is looking for a relationship, especially James, it was kind of fun to watch free-spirited Kyra help transform James into the man he becomes. I honestly wondered if he wouldn't have already been more open to a relationship had he not seen how his dad reacted when him mom died. I loved that James and Kyra couldn't keep their hands off each other most of the time and found their romance both sweet and super sexy at the same time. Ms. St. Claire delivers another winner for her readers with James. I loved there was so much growth for James and Kyra both as individuals and together. I also absolutely loved reading about the landscape in Positano. It made me almost feel like I was on vacation in Italy. Rating: 5 Stars (A) Review copy provided by publisher

I just loved this book! It was a fun, quick read and the characters are awesome! James Brannigan is the oldest of seven brothers. When James' mom died when he was 12, he helped his father raise the other six boys. In reality, his father withdrew into his work and James was left to take care of his brothers. Now as an adult, James puts all of his time and energy into his work. When James' father passed away from cancer, without telling any of the sons that he even had it, he left each son a part of his legacy. Through each gift, each son finds something he didn't even realize they were looking for. James was left a tiny winery in Positano, Italy and he had no clue why. He didn't really drink or take time to enjoy himself because he was always working. James decides he is going to check the place out and then probably sell it. He already has a standing offer from an American company looking to expand. James arrives in Italy and is thrown for a loop starting with his ride to his hotel. Seems everyone knows everyone's business here! Then in walks Kyra Summers....a free spirit, little blonde thing, ray of sunshine that catches his attention. I just loved their first meeting! Too funny! When he realizes who Kyra actually is things get even better. When James meets the Sebastiani family that's when the real fun really begins! This huge group of people were so fun, especially Anamaria! As James is trying to figure out why his father left him this winery, his feelings for Kyra begin to grow. He is for once relaxing and taking time out for himself and not thinking about work. As James is starting to find the answers to all his questions, he starts to understand why his dad sent him to the winery. I just adored these two characters. James was a typical first born, always wanting to do the right thing. Kyra was such a breath of fresh air and she was almost always happy! Together they each found something that neither of them realized they were ever looking for.

I really enjoyed James by Roxanne St. Claire which is the sixth book of the 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series. Each book is part of the series but is a standalone story. While reading this book I fell in love with the descriptions of the Amalfi coast of Italy. I have been to wineries in the Napa area of California but none looked like the depiction of the winery that James inherited and where Kyra lived. It was interesting to see if James would enjoy spending time with Kyra, along with relinquishing his staid presence and business always demeanor. Kyra was such a free spirit that I wasn’t sure if she could understand James. Both James and Kyra had to take risks and become flexible before either would find love. This was a sweet, fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
