David Borrie
The first one, Penney's New Identity, is a fun read, and shows that Child can occupy characters other than Jack Reacher for a decent length of time and tell a compelling, taughtly-plotted story. The ending is a direct tie-in to the Reacher novel The Persuader, but with some details changed or missing. The second one is more superfluous, a fun diversion supposedly leading up to the excellent Gone Tomorrow, but little more than a stylistic experiment.

This is the first time I am reading short stories by Lee Child. Actually started with little expectation, which was good. Two stories - one long and one short - both without substance. Don't waste your money.
