About this ebook

From the author of the instant New York Times bestseller Survivors, comes its follow-up: another lightening-paced thriller about survival in America after an apocalyptic socioeconomic crash.

The world as we know it is gone.

It’s the near future, and thanks to a perfect storm of reckless banking practices, hyperinflation, a stock market gone mad, and the negligence of our elected officials, the entire social, political, and economic infrastructure of America has collapsed. Chaos reigns in the streets, medical treatment is no longer available, and a silent coup has placed a dangerous group of men at the helm of a false government. America’s fate is in the hands of those few individuals who have the survival skills, the faith, and the forethought to return this country to the state its founding fathers intended.

I like the theme and the stories that go with it. What I don't like is the over description. four pages to describe an engagement is overkill. The same thing happened in his other books a page to describe an assault weapon and then not weaving it into the plot? Sorry to many words and not enough action. One star.

Ouch. Seriously lacking any real connection to the characters. Story is a great idea that lacks any emotion or depth. Also, the author seems fixated on including long lists of different types of guns which takes away from the story and inserts the authors obvious love of guns and amo.

I thought the book itself was well written but that there was too much religious context for me personally, that a characters faith had too much influence over how the main characters viewed them.
