About this ebook

A fresh start. A sunny beach town. One summer to rediscover her life.

***An USA Today Bestseller!***

A new beach read series set in the beloved village of Summer Beach.

When Marina Moore’s life implodes on national television, she seeks refuge at her grandmother’s beach house called the Coral Cottage. Now in her mid-forties with children in college, Marina is in dire need of her grandmother’s gutsy advice to a well-lived life. Marina meets an old friend, Ivy Bay, proprietor of the Seabreeze Inn, who encourages her to share her love of food at the local farmer’s market. Soon Marina’s sister Kai arrives on a summer break from her musical theater troupe. Together, the sisters discover new paths bound to change them forever. If only those changes didn’t require such long leaps of faith.

Journalist Jack Ventana, a confirmed bachelor nomad, is on a six-month sabbatical to write his first book. The only company he wants is his inquisitive Labrador retriever puppy, but when he receives a call from an old colleague, he finds his life altered in ways he never imagined—including the prospect of romance.

What began as a short, reclusive holiday is destined to change Marina’s life, especially when Jack’s research uncovers her grandmother Ginger’s hidden past. Join the fun in Summer Beach, where the bonds of friendship and love prove unbreakable.

From the author of the bestselling Seabreeze Inn at Summer Beach book series, the Coral Cottage is a new chapter on the sunny coastline. For readers of Danielle Steel, Mary Kay Andrews, Elin Hilderbrand, and Mary Alice Monroe.

Although this is the first book I’ve read by Jan Moran, it definitely won’t be my last. I loved this story about Marina, a single mom to two college students (twins), who has just lost her job and boyfriend on the same day. She goes to her grandmother’s cottage in Summer Beach, but Ginger isn’t there. She ends up at Seabreeze Inn, where she meets Jack, a journalist taking a break to write a book. I loved all the characters I met while reading this book and I highly recommend this book to everyone. I won’t leave any spoilers, but if you love reading about family relationships and friendships, then this will be a great book for you. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was as enjoyable as the three Seabreeze Inn stories. It was fun to see a few old friends as well as meet a bunch of new ones. Our heroine, Marina, has had a difficult life change so she travels to Summer Beach to visit Ginger, her grandmother. There are a few quirky characters which I quite like. Having folks be too "normal" in fiction can become boring! These folks are certainly not that. I think a couple of small details were obvious as far as the outcome but there are still surprises to be had. I look forward to reading the second which is way too long away! Re-Inventing Life at The Beach This is the first book of the new Coral Cottage series which is a spin-off of the Sea Breeze Inn series. It takes place in the same southern California a beach town and shares many characters. This is primarily a story of family, but also has several romances going on. One of the main characters is a yellow lab which is so perfect for a So-Cal beach town. This author does such a fine job of integrating real-life problems with the laid back vibe of the beach. It is not hard to imagine living the life she describes so well. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
