About the author

Jane Lawes studied American Literature with Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia before beginning a career immersed in books. As a child, she loved gymnastics and dancing and wore the garden out with her practising every summer. She lives in London and still enjoys watching gym competitions on TV, as well as listening to music, watching ballet and films, and trying to play tennis. When not writing, she works as an editor of books about sport and books about nature.
