About this eBook

Overworked California accountant, Rachel Mills, inherits an old bookstore in Marietta, Montana just as she's offered a huge promotion. The new job means longer hours and more stress when what she really craves is a break. The smart thing to do would be accept the promotion, buckle down, and keep on working. But for the first time in her life, she goes with impulsive and books a flight to Montana to inspect the bookstore, and hopefully have her first white Christmas ever.

Texan lawyer and entrepreneur, Atticus Bowen, has found the perfect location for his next restaurant—the two-story, turn-of-the-century brick building on Marietta’s Main Street. All he has to do is convince the new owner to sell Paradise Books to him. After all, used bookstores aren’t practical or viable businesses, and he’s making Rachel Mills a very generous offer. But instead of jumping on his offer, Rachel decides she’s going to open the bookstore doors for December and ‘explore her options’.

The last thing Rachel expected was to fall in love with the old bookstore, or charming Marietta, Montana. She never expected sparks to fly with handsome, arrogant Atticus Bowen, either. Smart, practical Rachel realizes she just might be falling in love with the sexy, opinionated Texan lawyer -- something that could prove to be neither smart, nor practical....or the best decision of her life.

A heart warming emotional Christmas romance set in Marietta. Rachel an overworked accountant, who once again been passed up for a promotion finds out that she was a gifted a bookstore in Marietta. She is not a book worm but wants to see what she has. When she arrives in Marietta she meets Atticus, who wants to buy the bookstore to turn into a steakhouse. Rachel never expects to fall in love with the bookstore, the town of Marietta and Atticus. This is book that brought out so many emotions, sad and happy tears. Loved how Rachel found true happiness in the bookstore, life can be simple. It's not Christmas without a visit to Marietta!! I highly recommend this wonderful story!!

Oh Christmas Night by Jane Porter. This is Rachel Mills and Atticus Bowen's story. Things are not going the way Rachel planned for her life. At a turning point in Rachel's life she inherits a book store that hasn't been opened in years. Atticus wants to buy the building for a restaurant that he wants to open. But as time goes on Atticus begins to change and he is there to support Rachel with whatever she wants to do with the bookstore. Rachel has a hard time letting her guard down. Will she continue her life not letting people in or will she take chances? I enjoyed this sweet Christmas story. I could picture the book store and wanted to go help Rachel sort through the books I love this little town of Marietta and the people. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Hallmark please make this book into a movie quickly. As I read Oh, Christmas Night by Jane Porter it felt like I was watching my favorite channel on TV. Of course I was back in my fictional hometown of Marietta with a large hot coffee and watching this wonderful love story unfold like while catching up with many of my favorite Mariettans. Neither Rachel Mills nor Atticus Bowen are natives to Marietta, but if you are familiar to this amazing little town in Montana, that doesn't mean much. As this town has a special magical quality about it that seems to know when people just belong there. Atticus has wanted the bookstore that Rachel's godmother own but has closed down for 18 months. BUT she has always told him no. Now she has gifted it to Rachel. Now he has to deal with Rachel if he wants to get the building for his high end steak house. Rachel decides to leave Cali to visit Marietta during Christmas after a disappointing time at her job. Click, Click things seem to fall into place ... Marietta the town is magical or is it her godmother? I loved the amount of details in the book. I could see the library inside and out. The windows, the beautiful tree. Rachel's upstairs room. Even the events that happen in the night. I could hear them and jumped myself when I read them. The sign of a great book is when you are so involved in the book that you react like you do when you are watching a movie. I reacted from the first page until the end. What a wonderful book that I can't wait to see on the tv on day.
