Stephanie Plum, bail bond enforcer for her cousin Vinnie, struggles with her job (understatement). Fortunately, she is still engaged to get engaged to Joe Morelli, Trenton detective, and often has side work from super stud Ranger. Ex-ho Lula and Stephanie are working a bond skipper when they spot him driving a Bogart Ice Cream truck. He runs and Lula takes the wheel, but doesn't really know how to drive a truck. After coming to a stop atop a cop car, the back of the truck is opened and a frozen body tumps out onto the pavement, coated in chocolate and sprinkled with nuts. Ranger's security firm is called in to the Bogart plant, and he has Stephanie work the floor to pick up gossip. Shades of Lucille Ball & the chocolate conveyer belt. A romp, as usual, with plenty of action, "Babe" s from Ranger, and even some serious thought by Stephanie about the future and her 2 men. Grandma Mazur adds even more spice--this time with a biker boyfriend! Typical Plum, readers will be satisfied.

I've been a fan of the Stephanie Plum series since they began. Own every one. Really enjoyed this one although the clowns freaked me out a little. As usual, Lula and Grandma Mazur entertained.

I am horrified at this Lula character. 50-something, ex-ho, stereo-typed ghetto dumbass. The story is ok, and then Lula shows up and I'm so offended I have to put the book down. Even if she wasn't black, I'd think she was offensive. I want to say more, but I'll stop while I still have some religion.
