About this ebook

Uncover profitable trading opportunities by exploiting the multiple time frames traded by different market participants

In virtually all traded markets there are traders working on short-term, medium-term, and long-term perspectives. Each class of trader has different keys for entering and exiting the market. By identifying those keys and understanding where these traders intersect, a trader can spot profitable trading opportunities.

In Time Compression in Trading, author Jason Jankovsky explains the structure of the market through the prism of the time frames of different trader groups. In practical terms, he shows how to identify the probable entry and exit points of short term, medium term, and long term traders. He also explains why traders should pay particular attention to the weakest and strongest hands in a market in order to trade in concert with the stronger market players.

  • Breaks new ground in its analysis of market structure and at the same time, provides practical, actionable ideas for better trading
  • Reveals how to profit from the actions of market participants operating in different time frames
  • Discusses why traders should pay close attention to the time frames of other traders when analyzing markets

If you want to learn how to trade more effectively by understanding market structure and what other traders are doing, Time Compression in Trading is a must read.

I am very disppointed at this book. Not only have I wasted money on it, but time as well. This book has no new substance whatsoever. It does not provide any new helpfull hints or strategies other than the basics every simple trader already knows. I kept reading and reading, then after a hundered pages I started skimming just to reach something. What is the author suggesting to do to be more profitable at trades? And finally, there it comes. The "Theory of Time Compression". Guess what it is. It is basically this: dont't trade utilizing short-term periods (5 minutes), trade utilizing long-term periods (days or weeks). Why? Because when you trade short term your TA signals deceive you and you won't see the big picture. That's it folks! That is the only message of the book! When I posted my comments on Amazon where I bought the book, the author responded by saying that I did not understand the point of the book. I noticed he said the same to other readers who did not like the book. His responses to me and other dissatisfied readers were full of sarcasim and ill mannered language. You will not find a single useful information in this book. Trust me on this.

This is my first review of a trading book...It's not something I like to do...However, I glanced at the reviews here, and was compelled to respond...I have read and studied over 200 trading books over the past 10 years. This book is a GEM. The orientation and perception shown by the author is like non other. It is about 'observation' not technical analysis 'evaluation'. It is about 'critical root analysis' of what a zero-sum market is, first and foremost, not technical analysis. It might require a lot of poeple to engage in a paradigm shift in thinking though. If you don't get it at first, re-read...it will come...a book for beginners? In some ways maybe...most of us should probably start over anyway!
