About this ebook

Jayci Lee's romcom Booked on a Feeling features an overachieving lawyer. A failing bookstore. A childhood friend. And the chance of a lifetime...

Lizzy "Overachiever" Chung, Esq. has her life mapped out neatly:
* Become a lawyer. Check.
* Join a prestigious law firm. Check.
* Make partner. In progress.

If all goes to plan, she will check off that last box in a couple years, make her parents proud, and live a successful, fulfilled life in L.A. What was not in her plans was passing out from a panic attack during a pivotal moment in her career. A few deep breaths and a four hour drive later, Lizzy is in Weldon for three weeks to shed the burnout and figure out what went wrong. And what better place to recharge than the small California town where she spent her childhood summers with her best friend, Jack Park.

Jack Park didn't expect to see Lizzy back in Weldon, but now he's got three weeks to spend with the girl of his dreams. Except she doesn't know of his decades-long crush on her--and he intends to keep it that way. She's a high-powered attorney who lives in L.A. and he's a bookkeeper at his family's brewery who never left his hometown. He can't risk their friendship on a long shot. Can he? When Lizzy decides that the local bookstore needs a little revamp, of course, Jack is going to help her bring it back to life. But the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore there might be more than just friendship among the dusty shelves and books...

Sometimes the path to the rest of your life has been in front of you all along.

Very sweet friends to lovers romance Jack and Lizzy are so terrific together. Friends since childhood, Jack has kept his romantic feelings for Lizzy under wraps to preserve their friendship. But he still can't resist the idea of moving to L.A. to be closer to her. Lizzy takes a few weeks of vacation in Jack's small town in order to reassess her life goals and address her anxiety and panic attacks. Getting her to-do lists in order gives her the opportunity to embark on a romantic relationship with Jack, but the conflicts that arise from her journey of self-discovery threaten to ruin not just the romance but the friendship, too. I really enjoyed the pace of their romance, and thought the conflict that separated them was honest and relatable. The solution that led to their HEA was absolutely perfect, and I can't believe I didn't see it coming. It was also terrific to see characters from the earlier books and catch up on their current lives, too. Low angst, low steam, with insightful dialogue and well-developed emotional connections, this book was a delight to read and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Highly recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is a sweet-and-steamy romance with a small-town feel, but it's not a small-town romance. I loved the way Lizzy and Jack worked together to save the bookstore. Beyond that, there was a lot of focus on the physical attraction between them. This book kept me guessing until the end. CW: anxiety, parental bullying. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Booked on a Feeling by Jayci Lee, book three in the Sweet Mess series, is a sweet friends to lovers romance. Lizzy Chung had her entire life planned out; she would make her parents proud, be successful, and live happily ever after. At least that was the plan. But plans go awry, and after a panic attack in court, she jumps in her car and heads to Weldon where she spent her childhood summers with her best friend, Jack Park. Jack has crushed on Lizzy for so long that he is thrilled to spend three w
