Nicole's Book Musings
This is the conclusion to the Ever After duet. With the way the first book ended I knew we were in for a wild ride. Jayne Rylon did a great job of creating a vile character that you hate right off the bat. He's definitely scum and all I wanted was karma to be served to him. Now Josh, Brady, Ford, and Kari were fantastic. I so wanted them to get their HEA. This is a menage story so be prepared for that when venturing into this duet. They have so much chemistry and each guy brings something different to the relationship. It was beautiful to watch the way they treat Kari. They show her how precious she truly is to them. This one definitely delivers on a roller coaster of emotions. The ending is so beautiful and so perfect.

Kari, Ford, Brady, and Josh certainly found their sexiness in this book, now the emotional side, that took at bit more! But then again, having 4 people in a relationship definitely makes the odds of misunderstandings and emotional outbursts exponentially higher "He was so gentle. So kind and forgiving. It was everything she needed right then" perfectly defines Brady and his connection with Kari. He sees her, gets her, and understands her even when she doesn't realize, or can't express things herself. Ford takes charge and shows a possessiveness she could easily get used to, and fully appreciates. Josh gives her sweet, a playmate, and softness when needed. "Not only did they anticipate what she craved, they gave her that and some. Their intrinsic awareness turned her on more than their expert physical prowess" The connection these four have, in and out of the bedroom, is strong. Kari can't believe she found all that she needed, and never knew it could be. It is more than bedroom compatibility and heat, but figuring out the emotional side of things seems to be a little messed up. Everytime they make a bit of progress, pride gets in the way. Everytime they think they know their places, something throws things off again. Luckily, at least one or more is stubborn enough in these instances to push to keep things on track The bad guy is still out there in this book, and he is a thorn in their sides while they try and figure out their relationship. Icky and gross, he is the slime running under their feet. And just when you think he is gone, up he pops again. It all comes together in the end, and after what they have been through, they more than deserve their happy ending! "In Brady's refind touches, in Ford's fierce possessiveness, and in Josh's sweet words. They cared for her. Not only as a playmate, but also as a life partner"

A great conclusion to the duet. Fourkeeps is the second book in a duet that began with Fourplay. You do need to read Fourplay first before reading Fourkeeps. Fourplay ended on a major cliffhanger; I won't say what to avoid spoilers for anyone who hasn't yet read it. Fourkeeps picks up where book one left off, there isn't any recap of what happened in Fourplay. It's really kind of hard for me to review Fourkeeps without giving spoilers for Fourplay but this is a romance duet so it is normal to expect an HEA and Jaye Rylon gives us a great one for Kari and her guys. On the way to their HEA they have to deal with the creep from book one and just how that was going to happen kept the suspense going just enough to keep things interesting. When things finally came to a head it was almost anticlimactic but not enough that it changed how I felt about the book. We get lots more hot, sexy time for Kari, Ford, Josh and Brady and boy do I mean HOT! These three men are a dream come true (or at least a fantasy come true – lol) and they take such good care of Kari! If you were waiting for this book to get published before buying/reading Fourplay the wait is over and you won't have to wait between books now. This duet would make a perfect after Christmas present to yourself. An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
