About this ebook

Oh, Bless’d Broken Me is a poetry and photo collection that highlights the hardships and struggles that contribute to an individual’s realization and understanding of themself. Those hardships can take many forms—lack of identity, unrequited love, judgment from others, destructive selfdoubt. But even in our deepest pitfalls, we have the tools, skills, faith, and guardians to bolster our resolve and to help us heal. The journey to resiliency requires that we recognize not only the struggle, but our capacity to travel our own path through it to the other side. The book’s accompanying landscape photos of Canada help to illustrate a diverse identity.

About the author

Jeff D. Knight has been writing most of his adult life and is eager to share some of his poetry with Oh, Bless’d Broken Me.

In addition to poetry, he is working on a novel and a collection of short stories. His academic and professional background is a colourful one. After graduating from George Brown College (chef training), Queen’s University (English and drama), and SUNY Potsdam (teacher’s college), Knight taught high school English for nineteen enjoyable years. When he is not engaged in writing, he enjoys cooking and woodworking.

Knight lives in the heart of Ontario’s Thousand Islands in the quaint town of Gananoque. He splits his time between his wife, Carolyn, and his Australian golden doodle. He is the proud father of Lauren Knight, and future father-inlaw to her fiancé, Jameson Dean Kalbfleisch.
