About the author

Jemma was born in Perth, Western Australia. After finishing high school went on to enrolled nursing at TAFE. Jemma then further studied nursing at Curtin University and currently works as a Clinical Nurse in Fremantle. Jemma was pregnant with her first son Riley when the dreams started about the story of Malakai, the unicorn. This vivid dream reoccurred many times before finally pen was put to paper and the first story came to life. Riley is now 5 and has a younger brother Logan who is 3. It was a dream to have her first children’s book published and be able to share this with her boys.
