Together, the unlikely pair will have to work together to stop an enemy that everyone thought was long gone, one with the power to destroy her family and the people of Emperion. Now the cage Allyssa so longed to break free from might just be the one thing she has to fight to keep intact. In order to save her kingdom, she will have to sacrifice her freedom, her heart, and maybe even her life.

from the first page this story opened a world & placed the reader right into its well established perimeters. It was so wonderfully layered, with a score of characters that were as deeply detailed and embued with personalities and emotions so well maintained that gave heart to this world you slipped into. Never a loss of stride, or need to build up, you were just there and what an incredible level it continued on! I have never commented before, but I had to say thank you for a really great read & a huge wow! You have a wonderful gift & truly an exceptionally talented writer! I hope to read the next book. This story grips you from start to end. A very enjoyable read and can't wait for the next book. It is seriously time for the good people to win. Can't understand how the assassin can be better than the hero, hopefully our heroin will beat the assassin. Now that would be justice.

Brilliant read. Had me at the edge of my seat wanting more. You'll find yourself not being able to put the book down. And before you know it, the story has come to an end at the most crucial moment, making you Screaming 'No!'. It can't possibly end there? Then you'll be scrambling like an addict to find the next book in the series. Don't say I didnt warn you though.

Jennifer Anne Davis graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in English and a teaching credential. She is currently a full-time writer and mother of three kids. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart and lives in the San Diego area.
