This is book number 1 in the Santa Lena Sizzles series. This book has humor, romance, mystery, drama, suspense and some sexy times. Harper just got out of a nasty divorce and the last thing that she is looking for man. Her not wanting a man changes when she agrees to go out on the town with her girlfriends and she runs into Jack. Jack has baggage of his own and he is willing to rekindle the spark that they had before everything fell apart. A situation between the two of them transpires and he has had enough and he gives in. *Spoiler* This book does end on a cliffhanger and you will need to read the second book in the series to see how it ends for Harper and Jack. This was funny; funner than I expected. It added that little extra something to the story. Both Harper and Jack have baggage and issues they're dealing with and neither wants a relationship. However, not wanting one means nothing when you meet the ones you actually need. They are perfect for each other and the story just reeled me in. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I would give this awesome book five stars, but it ended on a cliffhanger! Not a small one but a major cliffhanger!!! I loved the book but I HATE cliffhangers!

About the author

Jessa lives in a very non-descript, unassuming town filled with the best kind of people. Most days, she can be found in the stands of various soccer fields, cheering her on Youngest, or discussing books with her Oldest (who is an English Honors student).

At night, if she's not up burning the midnight oil, Jessa enjoys snuggling up to her hubby and watching his latest pick for a cheesy romance movie. He always chooses the best ones. (after he cooks supper, of course).
