About this ebook

Entrepreneur Jesse Itzler chronicles his month of living and extreme fitness training with a Navy SEAL in the New York Times and #1 LA Times bestseller Living With a Seal, now with two bonus chapters.

Entrepreneur Jesse Itzler will try almost anything. His life is about being bold and risky. So when Jesse felt himself drifting on autopilot, he hired a rather unconventional trainer to live with him for a month-an accomplished Navy SEAL widely considered to be "the toughest man on the planet"!

Living With a Seal is like a buddy movie if it starred the Fresh Prince of Bel- Air. . .and Rambo. Jesse is about as easy-going as you can get. SEAL is. . . not. Jesse and SEAL's escapades soon produce a great friendship, and Jesse gains much more than muscle. At turns hilarious and inspiring, Living With a Seal ultimately shows you the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone.

This book was an easy read/listen, it was funny and inspiring. I downloaded the audiobook version and finished it in a weekend because I couldn't stop listening to it. If you're not into fitness, you can enjoy as the Seal puts Jesse through intense training and throws him well outside his comfort zone. If you're into fitness, you'll like it for the same reason and it'll give you ideas to kick it up a notch.

Reading this book after Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins is perfect. Reading both books after seeing his interview with Joe Rogan even more so. I will definitely agree with LeBron James that this book is Hilarious but it's center is really about how powerful the mind can be. After reading this book your going to definitely be inspired to run but inspiration and determination can only take you so far. You gotta be able to push passed that comfort zone.

Very inspiring story and great mentality changer. SEAL has a great life perspective that I will try to emphasize more in my own. I do agree with another reviewer that it was a fair amount of "look who I know" by the author and wasn't always necessary. But it fills pages and at times adds to the effectiveness of the book.

About the author

Jesse Itzler only eats fruit 'til noon, loves Run-D.M.C., and enjoys living life "out of the box." In fact, he doesn't even have a box. The author of the New York Times bestseller, Living with a SEAL, cofounded Marquis Jet, the world's largest private jet card company which he and his partner sold to Berkshire Hathaway/NetJets.

Jesse then partnered with Zico coconut water, which he and his partner sold to The Coca-Cola Company. He's a former rapper on MTV and wrote and performed the NBA's Emmy Award-winning "I Love This Game" music campaign and the popular New York Knicks anthem "Go NY Go." When he's not running ultra-marathons, eating vegan food or being a dad to his four kids, Jesse can be found at the NBA's Atlanta Hawks games, where he's an owner of the team. He is married to Spanx founder Sara Blakely.
