About this ebook

Nathaniel Colver, son of Nathaniel Colver, was born 10 May, 1794 at Orwell, Vermont. His father being a Baptist minister, the family lived in various locations including Vermont, New York and West Stockbridge, Massachusetts during his youth and early adult years. He married Sally Clark on 27 April 1815. She died at Fort Covington, New York on 27 February 1824. After her death he married Sarah F. Carter, a widow from Plattsburgh, New York. In 1819 Nathaniel became a Baptist minister, as were his father and brother, serving first in the west part of Clarendon, Vermont He later served in Boston, Detroit, Cincinnati, Chicago and elswhere during his ministerial career which spanned nearly a half a century. Dr. Nathaniel Colver died 25 September 1870 in Chicago, Illinois.
