The danger comes from all directions and at unexpected times, so the book kept up a fast pace throughout. There are tons of red herrings and fake trails and I really, really liked the big reveal of who the killer was and the motives behind all of the deaths. The characters were dynamic and realistic with flaws that made them earn sympathy from me as I read all of the tragedy that they had endured. This book is part of a series but can easily be read and enjoyed as a standalone.
