Jessie Collins
Crazy Scottish Love , (Love in Scotland #1) Jessie Donovan Donella Spencer stepped off the plane in Scotland hoping for respite from interfering family. What she got was MORE interfering family! It all starts again when she meets Robbie Campbell, the insufferable, teenage boy-now full grown, who had chased her, making life generally miserable, when she was a young lass. They meet again, when Donella trips over Ruby’s dog, it was like they had never parted! It was he said, she said , all over again! Why is it she is still the awkward, accident -prone, gangly young girl around Robbie? Her head she says she can’t stand him, he’s not her type! Really? So why then, does she look around for him everywhere she goes, feeling sad when he’s not around? Ruby Campbell is the angel daughter of Robbie, who can’t get enough of Donnie! Ruby wants Donnie to go here and there with them, she’s head over heels for Donnie! Robbie was not even looking for any female, and there in the mud , was Donnie! Fate extended her hand! Gavina Spencer, Grandmother, has orchestrated her entire trip, a meet with every eligible (according to Gavina) bachelor for miles around, Donella’s got no time for herself! Along comes Paris, cousin, female and mad for a certain Simon MacBaren, scion of another family. Seems there’s a been a feud going on for generations that has young Simon on the outs with family Spencer. Paris also wishes to stay out of the eye of Grandmother Gavina. A pact is struck! Mix one scheming Grandmother, a fairy child, one love-lorn cousin Paris with beau Simon add in Donella and Robbie, who are trying to figure things out , yield a fine kettle of mischief and mayhem! First in New series for Jessie Donovan comes a refreshing new look for Rom Com Romance. I highly suggest you pick up this book and settle in for a romantic interlude of fun and passion! But I have to suggest caution! Laughter and chuckles may burst out, so read where you can make noise! I was given an ARC but the Review is all mine and freely given!

Holy hell I loved this book! I already loved the writing style of the author from her dragon books to her alien ones. They have been a hit for me and this rom-com was no different. All the laughter, romance and overwhelming family members included! Character breakdown; Donnie: I loved her she seemed like a great character but the fact that she didn't sass her grandmother at first was hard to watch. Eventually she showed her true self and I loved her so much more. Also I understand her concerns about having children, but I do hope she changes her mind. Because in her case she just been around the wrong kind of kids. Lol. Either way she'll make a great step mother to Ruby. Robbie: I liked him from the beginning, his devotion for his daughter was beautiful. It sucked how his ex wife treated him and their daughter but at least she wasn't around much. Grandmother Gavina: cause I had to this woman came on too strong at first it took a few chapters to like her. But oh was she funny, and that she was willing to do whatever it took to make sure her granddaughter was happy was also a plus. Elena: I *know* Andrew's (Donnie's brother) story is next BUT from the little combo with Robbie I loved her! And I REALLY want to see her with a cheeky Scots man! Lol. If you love the dragon series and the sci-fi ones you'll LOVE this series too! The only thing that's different is it's not paranormal/sci-fi. Favorite quote: "The first of many adventure shoes I'll give you in the coming years." - Robbie to Donnie

When you are escaping your crazy American family and you end up in Scottland with your even crazier Scottish side of the family your summer vacation might have been better spent at work. That is unless you run into the guy who plagued your childhood all grown up and gorgeous. This is lighthearted, fun, often funny, steamy, and with unforgettable characters. Donella and Robbie are cute together. She just has clumsy feet around him making for some funny situations. Robbie may be single but he is a single dad of a daughter who takes to Donella. It's a fun ride dodging family match-making, creating irresistible parties, and trying to hide a growing feeling between her old crush/nemesis from her family. Ms. Donavan has been a favorite author of mine and it doesn't matter what genre she always gives the best. I recommend this to all. It's one of those books you close wearing a smile.
