After his fiancé’s death, Dr. William Evans dedicated his life to ridding the world of magic and the readers can’t help but get caught up in all the thrills and magic as Petra and Will are reconnected while exposing a horrible secret. Petra and Will have some stunning chemistry which certainly heats things up but of course their past stirs up some emotional turmoil while chuckles and snark lighten things up during the adrenaline pumping excitement as Petra and Will work with some “frienmies” against the magical prison. The characters are strong, compelling and keeps reader’s attention glued to the pages of this well written, fast paced and smooth flowing plot full of suspense, excitement and romance. This series just continues to get better and better with so many fascinating twists and elements that there is never any way to put the stories down once you start reading them and I find it very easy to get caught up in all the intrigue and with all the directions that the plot could go in, I can never predict what might happen next.

I love all of Jessie Donovan’s work and this story is no different. She has a very unique storyline with this series and I couldn’t enjoy it more. I love the way the story has a unique take on magical powers and how the characters deal with those powers. I hope there will be more stories in this series as I want to find out how the series will end and if some of the characters will meet their matches.
