What a vivid and lifelike novella! Donovan drew me into this vivid world in a fantastic manner while adding to the intricate world that we’ve come to know throughout the series. Donovan engaged my emotions while drawing me into the world that she’s created. I found myself panicking, crying, and rejoicing alongside the characters. Honestly, I had to put it down so I didn’t burst out in tears in the lunch room at work, and it was all I could think about all afternoon. At the same time, the characters were realistic and very approachable, while remaining larger than life and completely loveable, each in their own unique way. Donovan has definitely nailed it with this Stonefire novella. I felt like I was really there, caught up in all of the vivid action and realities of the characters that she’s brought readers back to. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

As Christmas and the Winter Solstice draws near, Bram and Evie are faced with complications as Evie goes into labor in this entrancing Stonefire Dragons novella. Many trials have hit their clan since Evie and Bram’s mating and they’ve worked together to make the world a better place for all dragons but this one is more personal and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as they are faced with the complications that arise from a dragon-human pregnancy. The tension is spine tingling and keeps readers on the edge of their seats as Dr. Sid calls for help and anticipation builds as Bram has a special surprise for Evie. These strong captivating characters captured hearts in Seducing the Dragon and they grip the heart even harder with the emotional turmoil that flows from the pages in this fast paced, smooth flowing plot that entrances readers with suspense and excitement. This is one exciting story as it kept me on pins and needles from beginning to end.

Plus Baby will make four Evie Marshall is near the end of her pregnancy and Bram is trying to get things settled so he’ll be able to spend more time with Evie and the Baby when it comes. But in the back of the mind is always the thought that humans carrying and delivering a dragomans child has risk to the human mother of dying. Evie is no exception to this and when things start to show something wrong Dr. Sid gets called right in. This is a great addition to the entire series as well as to Seducing the Dragon. Show the love that’s grown between the two plus more. Well written and very entertaining to read.
