About this ebook

Over the last year, Jake Swift has constantly thought of the one-night stand he had with a beautiful dragon-shifter, one who slipped away silently into the night. Determined to see her once more, he finally manages to arrive in Scotland at Clan Lochguard’s gates and asks to see Sylvia. She’s as sexy and kind as he remembers, but he soon learns her secret—he’s a father, and they have a daughter together.

Sylvia MacAllister has done her best to be a single mother to her surprise daughter. It’s not easy, but she’s determined to be the best mother possible, especially given how she failed her other children more than a decade ago. When her daughter’s father shows up on Lochguard, wanting to be a part of their lives, Sylvia isn’t so sure, but she grants him two weeks to see how things go. The trick will be in focusing solely on what’s best for her daughter and not getting attached to the handsome human.

Jake tries his best to win Sylvia, despite her doubts. However, between each of their pasts and family drama, a future together seems uncertain. Will Jake be able to convince Sylvia that he wants both her and their daughter? Or will he be relegated to a part-time dad, unable to claim his new family?

Jake & Sylvia They met at a cook-off contest and all three of them (the two, plus dragon) were heating up more than the oven. She'd been a widow and single mom for a decade and finally, let her dragon convince her she was due some playtime. One night with a human. He spent that year unable to forget her. Even though he didn't know how to find her he knew someone who would if only... When they finally meet again he has quite a surprise waiting. Dealing with his surprise and convincing her he has feelings strong enough to see where they could go wasn't going to be easy and it wasn't but could it happen? What would they have to sacrifice to be together? And her family—that you'll just have to read on your own. The characters are some new, some old friends and all amazing. There is enough steam between these two (three) to power the whole clan. One thing that isn't new—it's another winner from the author. Don't miss it.

About the author

Jessie Donovan has sold over half a million books, has given away hundreds of thousands more to readers for free, and has even hit the NY Times and USA Today bestseller lists. She is best known for her dragon-shifter series, but also writes about elemental magic users, alien warriors, and even has a crazy romantic comedy series set in Scotland. When not reading a book, attempting to tame her yard, or traipsing around some foreign country on a shoestring, she can often be found interacting with her readers on Facebook. She lives near Seattle where, yes, it rains a lot but it also makes everything green.

If you enjoy the humor of Kresley Cole, the sense of community of Nalini Singh, the steaminess of Larissa Ione, or grew up on Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders, then you'll enjoy her books.
