Jessie Collins
The Forbidden, Kelderan Runic Warriors #4 Jessie Donovan What do one very forward thinking, intelligent, dominant, protective, Alpha female Kelderan Princess and one strong, intelligent, Alpha male Kelderan Warrior and Trainer have in common? Find out in the newest offering in the Kelderan Runic Warriors series from Jessie Donovan. Princess Kalahn tro el Vallen, youngest daughter of the Royal Family, finds out there is more to her family then she once thought. More family members she never knew existed. But the biggest shock was seeing her once formidable Father so ill and frail. She knows there is more going on, but being only a female, in a very male dominated society, left a lot to be desired. Ryven Xanna, experienced Warrior, trainer, close friend of Kason, the Kelderan Royal face on Jasvar, had known Kalahn for many years. Soooo Kason assigned Ryven to guard Kalahn. Plum assignment, but for one thing, he had been attracted to the Princess from their first kiss all those years ago! Kalahn knew when she heard Ryven’s name as her guard, that this was going to be a difficult assignment, Add to the fact this is the first time she had been given anything significant to do as a Royal, added the pressure to succeed. Why did it have to be the one whose kiss left me speechless?, she thought. The Kelderan/Jasvaran World, Jessie has crafted, is truly amazing. Old World meets Techno World with all the social mores is fascinating. Pros and cons from both sides mix and blend, adding intrigue, mystery make for a delightful read. Romance with a side of Duty, throw in Denial, intertwine with male/female differences, always seem to light fireworks. This book is no exception! So sit back, get a drink, a comfy spot and open Forbidden. Soon you will be immersed in the Kelderan World. Then you too will chuckle every time you hear, “Don’t call me Lahn”, with the rest of us! I was given an ARC but the Review is mine and freely given.

Kalahan, Princess, and bored with her duties gets a chance to be more than a political bargaining chip. She can help her brother, help meld two diverse cultures. All she has to do is pretend the man training and guarding her isn't one she can't forget. Ryvan would do anything for his best friend and Prince. A bonus is helping his mother along the way. He just has to figure out how to pretend his friend's sister isn't the woman he can't forget. Can they work together and ignore their feelings? The author says her characters write her books. These guys must really enjoy a complicated, dangerous, erotic life. They've trusted the right person to take their story and make it unputdownable. Will one sacrifice themselves to protect and fulfill their mission? Will they take a forbidden rule and change it? One thing for sure, the reader will wonder how it will all work out right up to the end. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
